Don't hate me...

So Chris and I went to the Democratic Caucus last night. We had never been to a caucus before. It was pretty cool! There were a lot more people than I expected (especially when we live in the 6th most conservative city in the U.S.) Obama won by a landslide in our precinct. Chris took a ton of pictures to show his class because they're studying the election process. He was also the secretary for our precinct. I'm really glad we went and that we could perform our civic duty and caucus for a candidate that we believe in!

I'd only hate you if you voted for Hillary...:) If we lose to Obama, I think I may still be able to sleep at night, don't ask me why. I guess he's just more likable. And I was totally bummed I couldn't go to our caucus here in Vegas. It's just neat to be a part of the process.

Check Chris out... all stickered up!

Hey, I thought last night was great too. It's something that I've actually enjoyed being a part of and I'm learning a great deal about. We're just trying to be responsible citizens - in our own ways!

P.S. I'm all for the short hair revolution (even though Todd's new nickname for me is "butch"!)

Gretchen: Way to vote! I dig that you stand up for your guy!

Obama is not my fave, for his stance on issues like decriminilizing marijuana, among others.

And despite the fact that Clinton is just annoying and I so don't like her hubby (ewww, even though the Adoption tax credit came through his administration) I think I would prefer her over Obama, a little closer to the right in most cases, than Obama. The man is magic though, listening to him speak is inspiring.

I admire the Democratic party coming together, no matter who gets the nomination. Not sure that will happen with Conservatives. I will be (happily) surprised if a conservative candidate wins this election. But what do I know? :)
