The Cure concert

OK Leslie & Deanna here you go...

Chris and I (that's us!) went to Red Rocks Amphitheater to see The Cure. Can I just start this off by saying what an amazing venue it is! Absolutely beautiful! These pictures don't do it justice!

My very first concert was The Cure the summer I turned 17. I saw them in Salt Lake City. I have a hard time believing that it was 16 years ago. Man... I'm old! Anyway, I really didn't have much appreciation for them at the time because I had barely started listening to them. This time was much different! Can I just tell you, seeing Robert Smith walk out on stage... it gave me goosebumps. He is so fascinating to me. He is just SO darn cool! They came on at about 8:30. They played for THREE hours! Can you imagine? Three hours of Robert Smith, with my husband, and with no kids! What a great night! We didn't get home until 1:00 am and the alarm went off at 6:00am for school this morning and I think that I may be getting a little too old for this... but it was just way too much fun and I am SO glad we went!

We were in row 42 so these pictures aren't the best, but you'll at least get the idea!

Thank you Tara!

YAY! So worth the wait! :o) I can't believe it was that long ago that I saw them, either. (I looked at my ticket and it WAS June 19, 1992 - w/ the Cranes?) Crazy. We are gettin' old - but not too old to still rock out when a good concert comes to town. :o)

LLUUUCCKKKYYYYY!

How fun! I think the venue would have one of the coolest parts. What a rocking couple you guys are. Jared and I go to a steakhouse with all the old farts for dates. Or Lowe's. You guys really are lucky!

What a blast! I love Chris in a backwards hat... totally suits him. I tried to persuade Todd into going to REM but he's not budging! Have fun next week... think of me!
