What a disappointment! We hauled our butts out of bed at 5:30 this morning and met up with the Kimballs to get to Memorial Park to go to the balloon classic. We got a good parking spot and everything seemed to be right on schedule. Then we heard the annoying announcer lady telling us that they were sending up test balloons because the wind was blowing in the wrong direction. So we meandered for a little while and then the announcement came that the balloons would be launching. A little late, but they would be launching. Well, instead of the MASS launch that they promoted, they had about 20 balloons launch. Lame, lame, lame. Oh well! Maybe next year will be more successful. It was still nice to hang out with our friends and to come home and take a good nap!

Wow- I am jealous- I would LOVE to see a Hot Air Baloon festival:) They used to have them in Austin, Tx when I grew up- soo fun!
Sounds like the 10 second Elephant Walk that we went to last year. Lots of build up, but just not what you expected. The pictures you took look pretty cool though.
Beautiful! What a fun thing to experience. Even if it wasn't what you hoped for...:)
it was fun though ~ just running into us should've been worth getting up at 5:30! hahaha...
Sorry it was a disappointment! Makes me feel a little better about not being able to get MY butt out of bed to take my family to it like I'd wanted to... :)
